Overview
MediaBridge is designed with privacy as a core principle. All file processing happens locally on your Mac. We do not upload, transmit, or store your files on any server.
Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect, access, or store any of your media files (videos, audio, images, or PDFs).
- We do not use analytics or tracking frameworks.
- We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location.
- We do not use cookies or web beacons.
Local Processing
All operations — including compression, conversion, editing, and exporting — are performed entirely on your device. Your files never leave your Mac. MediaBridge does not require an internet connection to function (except for the Video Download feature, which fetches content from user-provided URLs).
Video Download Feature
The Video Download tool allows users to download media from URLs they provide. MediaBridge connects to those URLs solely to retrieve the requested content. We do not log, monitor, or store the URLs you enter or the content you download.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information. Purchase validation is managed by RevenueCat, which processes only anonymized transaction data necessary for entitlement delivery.
Third-Party Services
- Apple App Store: Handles payment processing and app distribution.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription and purchase entitlements using anonymous app user IDs. No personally identifiable information is shared. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
MediaBridge stores only your app preferences (such as export folder location, language setting, and conflict resolution strategy) locally on your device using macOS standard user defaults. This data is never transmitted externally.
Children's Privacy
MediaBridge is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
